Fantastic— rarely do I pick up a cookbook that I want to make every single recipe in。 I have long trusted Jack through YouTube, and he has made making bread so accessible to me。 Not only does he have fantastic bread recipes, but he also teaches how to use the bread, and also how to use stale bread (which I find myself constantly tossing, until now)。

Everything about this book is delightful and delicious! Great recipes for breads and meals with breads。 Easy to follow instructions and helpful photographs。 I've made the focaccia, tortillas, naan, brioche buns and chocolate chip brioche so far。 Mostly yeasted breads, savory and sweet, and a very straightforward section on sourdough。 Added bonus: the author's personality shines through! Apparently I managed to pick this up from my local bookstore a bit early, as it hasn't officially been released yet! I'm starting to think that a great bread bakery book is an essential in the British kitchen, especially as so many online recipes are written for the US market, where the flour to water ratio is completely off for a UK-based kitchen (due to the different gluten quantities of our flours), and each bread I make from an American recipe turns into a sloppy mess。 Some bread baking book Apparently I managed to pick this up from my local bookstore a bit early, as it hasn't officially been released yet! I'm starting to think that a great bread bakery book is an essential in the British kitchen, especially as so many online recipes are written for the US market, where the flour to water ratio is completely off for a UK-based kitchen (due to the different gluten quantities of our flours), and each bread I make from an American recipe turns into a sloppy mess。 Some bread baking books don't quite hit the sweet spot, running a bit old fashioned or presuming a level of expertise that I just don't yet have。This is exactly the sort of book I was looking for。This is a great book for beginning bread bakers, with every recipe broken down into easy-to-follow steps, with lots of photos and difficulty ratings for each one。 I made fougass last night (great success) and am working on rosemary and sea salt foccacia now。 So far, so good! 。。。more
